Step 1: Identify the Root Key Center
Sing the final 'home' resolving note of the song melody, then test it against root piano notes to identify the song's key scale (e.g., C Major or A Minor).
Step 2: Decode the Left-Hand Bassline
The bassline notes tell you the exact root progression (I - V - vi - IV). Once bass notes are identified, filling in major/minor chord qualities becomes easy!
