Strike the low E or A string near the end of the fretboard with the bony side of your thumb joint, allowing it to bounce off immediately to produce a bright percussive thump.
Popping High Strings with Index Finger
Hook your index finger under the high D or G string and pull outward to snap against the fretboard, creating an octave funk groove!
