Subtractive Sound Design 101: Oscillators, Filters & Envelopes (ADSR)

1. Oscillators & Waveform Timbre

Sawtooth: Bright, buzzy, rich in odd & even harmonics (great for leads & brass). Square/Pulse: Hollow, woody, nasal (great for bass & clarinets). Sine: Pure sub bass.

2. Low-Pass Filters & ADSR Envelopes

Use Low-Pass Cutoff filter to shave off bright high frequencies, and shape volume over time with **Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release (ADSR)** knobs!
